Dr. Ziv Cohen, medical director at Principium Psychiatry, has extensive experience in organizational psychiatry, having served as an emergency room psychiatrist, college psychiatrist, military psychiatrist, and an EAP psychiatrist at a major NYC corporation. Dr. Cohen is a board certified forensic psychiatrist. He brings his knowledge, training, and experience in this area to leading a clinical team of Columbia and Cornell affiliated clinicians who can perform EAP services including:

  • handling telephone calls from company staff seeking direction on a newly arisen mental health situation with an employee
  • scheduling an urgent evaluation for an employee, to assess the employee’s needs and fitness for duty
  • provide short or long term treatment to the employee in order to speed up return to duty
  • make recommendations about whether an employee is permanently disabled

Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Ziv E. Cohen is a Weill Cornell-affiliated and board certified psychiatrist with extensive experience treating mood disorders, trauma, PTSD, and a variety of other disorders. His experience lies with individuals across the lifecycle, including adolescents and adults. Dr. Cohen is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University, and on the medical staff of New York Presbyterian Hospital, both in New York City.
